Created in 1984, under the Association law of 1901, with the purpose:
- to promote the art of patchwork and textile creations.
- to organize conferences, classes, exhibitions, competitions, meetings, cultural exchanges, and instruction
for young people.
- to establish and promote contact between its members, and generate their recognition as artists.
- to provide general assistance to and tools for its members to develop their art, and to teach
patchwork and textile creations.
Led by a group of volunteers, France Patchwork has formed an important and far-reaching network.
In each Department of France, there is a team of delegates in place representing the Association.
It offers exhibitions, meetings, events, and cultural exchanges.
France Patchwork publishes a quarterly journal "News - Patchwork and Textile creation", registered in the joint commission journal: No. AS71180 ISSN No. 099162118.
In its pages, you will find: a calendar of exhibitions, the activities of clubs, a list of competitions, patchwork/quilting patterns to follow, information, reports on the history of textile art and of important exhibitions and meetings, as well as interviews with artists.
